Due to other priorities, we are not expecting to make major changes to Archie based on user input in the near future. Future directions for Archie are under review. Therefore, this space is closed until further notice.

How can we improve Archie?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Automatic check that assignee has permissions needed for task

    For instance, for the task 'Submit draft protocol for editorial approval' you need write permission to the review. As an alert to workflow manager at start of task.

    • Instructions field for tasks

      The idea is to have a place for storing the part of the task description that varies between tasks of the same type, e.g. special instructions to the TSC regarding a specific review. The field should be visisble/editable on Task Properties and should be insertable in task email templates. One advantage would be that you could include instructions without sending a ticket.

      • Publication status should be taken into account when creating new workflow

        For example, when creating a new workflow for an unpublished protocol, the default suggestion should be Protocol Development (unless it exists) but if the protocol has been published it should be Review Development.
